Article number: 6038743. E6Dit is een origineel Amerikaanse leger ECWS Extreme Cold Weather tent. Dit is de militaire versie van The North Face Northstar expeditietent. Voor het Amerikaanse leger gemaakt door The North Face en Eureka. Ook in gebruik bij het Korps Mariniers. Dit is de Eureka versie. Hij is voorzien van een Amerikaans NSN nummer op het label.
De tent is in zeer goede staat. De delen zitten in de originele zakken.
Op de foto's zie je de 3 mogelijkheden om hem te gebruiken.
Namelijk:
1. De Woodland binnentent. Tent body.
2. De Woodland binnentent (tent body) met daar over de Witte rainfly sheet (arctic tent fly)
3. De woodland binnentent (tent body) met daar over de Woodland rainfly sheet. (woodland tent fly)
Inbegrepen zijn:
- 1 Binnentent. Tent Body. Woodland / forest camo. Met sneeuwtunnel opening en halfronde opening. Vast grondzeil.
- 1 Snow White Rainfly Sheet. (arctic tent fly) (met halfronde openingen).

The Extreme Cold Weather tent is a four soldier, all-season, tension pole supported shelter with 64 square feet of floor space and an interior height of 54”. In the mission transport configuration, the tent weight is less than 21.5 lbs. and the transport cube is less than 1.6 cubic feet. Each tent comes with two rainflys (woodland Camo and Arctic White) and the fly provides an additional 30 square feet of vestibule area. The Performance Specification requires that this tent design be operable in climates ranging from -25°F to +125°F, withstand 50 mph steady winds with gusts to 65 mph and repel wind driven rain at 2” per hour with 20 mph winds. The snow load is a minimum of 4 pounds per square foot.

This Ecwt was manufactured by The North Face Company for use by the military in extreme cold weather (ECWS) conditions. Now made by Eureka.
These tents have double wall construction to provide an insulated inside, while the outside layer reflects wind, ice and snow. The rain flies block all light.
The Ecwt is like the North Star expedition tent, it just does not let in the glorious sunlight that the North Star is known for, even with the fly on. The North Star has a ventilation chimney which helps prevent the tent from stifling in cold weather conditions. This also draws in cold air from outside the tent, similar to an igloo.
The combat units have no top vent, and the stove hole has been moved near the door. Poles are thicker. These tents have the right shape, and enough room inside for any positions two people want to get into, except standing upright.
